The DFCM Conference is an annual conference hosted by the University of Toronto Department of Family and Community Medicine (DFCM) that provides an opportunity for DFCM faculty members from across our sites and teaching practices to connect, network and learn from each other.

The theme of the conference is Family medicine for today and tomorrow: What matters most? It will feature keynote addresses, panel discussions, research presentations, interactive workshops, oral papers, a poster session, and networking opportunities.

We look forward to hosting our faculty members and learners at the Beanfield Centre as we celebrate the academic endeavours of DFCM colleagues and consider what matters most in primary care, education and research and how we best serve our patients and our community.

The 2024 DFCM Conference is open to all DFCM faculty, residents, learners, staff, and alumni, as well as local and international friends of the department.

This 1-credit-per-hour Group Learning program has been certified by the College of Family Physicians of Canada for up to 6.25 Mainpro+® credits. 6 credits for the in-person event.

Early bird rate is $40.00 (available until April 1, 2024)

General rate is $60.00

Learner and Staff rate is $20.00

The DFCM Conference is taking place at the Beanfield Centre, situated at Toronto’s historic Exhibition Place.

Location: Beanfield Centre, 105 Princes' BlvdToronto, ON M6K 3C3

The Exhibition Place grounds are easily accessible via the Transit Hub. There are two stations on Exhibition Grounds: Exhibition GO, or the streetcar stop Manitoba Dr at Strachan Ave West.

If you plan to drive, parking at Exhibition Place is available for the day for ($18 + tax) at the Encare Center. There are several lots, a close one is off Manitoba Drive.

Getting to the Conference by Car: Plan extra time and patience. Use a navigation app (Waze, Google Maps, Apple Maps, etc). Set your destination to Exhibition Place.

There are 5 entrances via vehicle to Exhibition Place.

The Exhibition Place grounds are easily accessible via the Transit Hub. Choosing public transit reduces carbon emissions and contributes to environmental stability. GO Transit and TTC are easily accessible with drop off points directly on our grounds.
